Thanks to everyone who attended the rallies held in Saint John and Fredericton in support of the Energy East Pipeline! This is an important project for the province as it would provide opportunities at home for tradespeople in New Brunswick and stimulate growth in the local economy.

Saint John

On Monday, August 8, 2016, hearings for the Energy East Pipeline will be held at the Saint John Trade and Convention Centre (1 Market Square, Saint John, NB).

The New Brunswick Building Trades is asking all Union members to attend to show their support for this much needed construction project. We ask that you arrive at 7 a.m. to ensure that supporters get in before the room is taken up by protesters of the project.

The hearings are open to the public, and family and friends are encouraged to attend. Let’s show the hearing committee and the government that this is an important project for the province.

On Monday, August 15, 2016, a one-day rally for the Energy East Pipeline will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Fredericton, NB (659 Queen St). If you are interested in attending and showing your support, please meet at the Crowne Plaza at 7:30 a.m.

Rebuild Fort McMurray relief aid hits $203,000

The Atlantic Canada Regional Council of Carpenters, Millwrights and Allied Workers is proud to join our Brothers and Sisters from the Millwrights Regional Council of Ontario and the B.C. Pile Drivers to help those in need in Fort McMurray, Alta. Together, we have contributed a total of $203,000 for the Building Trades of Alberta’s “Rebuild Fort McMurray” relief program.

Pension Information Sessions – Local 83, 1338, and 1178

Belmont and Manulife representatives will be holding pension information sessions from July 25th to July 28th throughout the province. The sessions are for Local 83, 1338, and 1178 members.
