Bringing the best together
The United Brotherhood of Carpenters (UBC) places a high emphasis on building leadership for a strong future. This commitment is achieved through initiatives such as the Journeymen Leadership Program that provides journeypersons with valuable skills and training to be effective leaders on the jobsite.
With a focus on developing leadership, communication, mentoring, and coaching skills, the program is directed at journeypersons who are the best in their field and who have the ability to motivate and influence others. These “300 Hitters,” as they’re commonly referred to, lead by example and are often looked up to by newer members for their experience and dedication to the job.
In 2016, nearly 10,000 participants completed the program.
To date, more than 600 ACRC members have successfully completed the training.
